Personality Profile: Ted Venhorst (Sales)
Ted and his grandson

Ted Venhorst, our Senior Vice President – Sales, started his career decades ago as an appraiser trainee for Home Savings of America, the largest Savings & Loan in the country. Over time, his outstanding performance led him into executive management positions, which included overseeing the appraisal department. Several other successes in senior executive positions led him to Triserv nearly six years ago.

Ted says, “Words can’t express how much I enjoy being able to work with potential clients to bring them an appraisal solution that fulfills all their requirements. Triserv is the true solution and I love working with our clients to help them in one of the most difficult aspects of the mortgage process. I’m a ‘Type A’ personality, very driven to succeed...and to help our customers succeed. I love being a part of the Triserv team; we really are a family.”

As a child, Ted’s family lived in Germany for a dozen years, and that’s where he graduated from an American Embassy high school. He speaks German fluently, and also lived in Milan, Italy for a year. Ted was on the Junior US Olympic Ski Team in his early 20’s, and still skis today. You might think that’s not easy for someone living in Phoenix, Arizona, but Flagstaff is so close that he can be on the slopes less than two hours after leaving home. Other sports Ted enjoys are hunting and fishing.

Ted has a daughter working in the mortgage industry in Washington state, and a son who’s an engineer in Denver. His son and daughter-in-law have a three-year-old son, Mason, who is the love of Ted’s life.

When asked about the future, Ted says, “I want to continue the success we’re having at Triserv, as well as remaining the best father and grandfather I can be!”
